Carrie Stanford for Logan County Circuit Clerk

I am currently a deputy in the Circuit Clerk's office and have served the county in this capacity since 2012 when I was hired by Everly Kellar.

I was born and raised in Paris and raised both my children here. I am a member of the Paris First Assembly. My husband, Darin Stanford of 22 years is a combat veteran that served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, he is a self-employed stonemason and has been a volunteer coach at the Paris Boys and Girls Club for over 15 years

I decided to run for Circuit Clerk in 2019 and have worked alongside the clerk to ensure that I am ready to take on this position. Our office maintains domestic, civil, juvenile and felony criminal records. Along with the legal process is the juror program which is included in our office. We also house all recorded documents such as deeds, mortgages, easements, and leases.

As a deputy clerk, I quickly realized that I wanted to know all the ins and outs of how our office runs. I single handedly process all claims, maintain our budget, monthly statements, and end of the month reports for both the north and south sides of the county. When I'm not in court, I have the pleasure of assisting the public, filing legal paperwork through our new eFile system, and recording documents. I enjoy attending clerk conferences and learning with continuing education hours.

Before working at the clerk's office, I worked for 9 years at North Logan Abstract. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith. I am a member of the ATU Adult Education Advisory Board which serves Logan, Franklin, and Johnson counties.

Alongside my duties as a deputy clerk, I have been performing Circuit Clerk duties the past several years. I ask for your vote because I believe my decade of experience, integrity, and dedication to this job matter. With me, the transition would be seamless. I also believe those that work hard and prove they have the ability should be rewarded the title. It is a pleasure to serve the citizens of Logan County, and I hope to continue to serve in this capacity.
